Prologue

March 1, 2006
New York City

A young dark hair woman about twenty-one years of age, sat at a mahogany table in front of a big scrapbook she'd been working on for the past month. It was now complete, inside held the memories of a friendship that would be forever cherished. Memories that would forever live in the hearts of four best friends.

Taking a deep breath Kylie Thompson opened the first page of the book, expecting a rush of tears that would be sure to hit. To her surprise, she laughed, what she saw on the front page made her laugh. That’s what Freddy would have wanted, laughter instead of tears.

The door opened and a girl just a year older than Kylie walked in and set her keys down on the table. She stared at the scrapbook and felt her breath catch in her chest. Her eyes strayed to her friend who was smiling at her.

"You finished it?" Charlotte Devereaux asked her friend.

"Just last night." Kylie answered. "I couldn't bear to look at it then, come sit down and we'll share the memories together."

Charlotte quickly sat down next to her friend, and let her eyes fall apon the book in front of them, laughter quickly escaped her as she was met with Freddy’s goofy expression. As they flipped the page more laughter filled their hearts, slowly healing the part of them that they lost.

“God we were so crazy.” Charlotte giggled wiping the tears from her eyes.

“I know.” Kylie giggled flipping the page then pointing towards a picture. “This was taken right after we met you. When we swore to be best friends forever.”
