Forbidden Love
Chapter 10
“You know what,” said JC as he trailed his finger tips down my arm.
I cocked my head to the right to see JC. “What?”
“I haven’t stayed in on a Friday night and watched TV in a long time.”
I laughed softly. “Is that good or bad?”
“Good.” He smiled at me and reached for my hand.
I smiled and looked down at our hands. I then looked back at him. “I’m really sorry we have to sneak around.”
“It’s okay I don’t mind. It’s actually kind of fun.” He chuckled.
I gave JC a faint smile. “Yeah. Fun.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing it’s just I wish we could go out without worrying about getting caught. I don’t want you to get a bad reputation and I don’t want my Dad to either.”
“Have you thought about telling your Dad about us?”
“Are you crazy? He’ll freak.”
“I don’t think he will. You’ll be surprised how many young celebrities date older celebrities.”
“Yeah, but I’m not a celebrity.”
“But you hang out with celebrities.”
“No I don’t, my sisters do.”
JC gave me a look. “What do you think I am? Just the guy off the street?” I laughed and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips.
“I’m sorry,” I told him, and then turned to my phone when it rang. It had to be Mark calling. I reached for the phone and answered. “Hello?”
“Hey, I was thinking to come pick you and your sisters tomorrow morning around 9ish? Sound good?”
“Ummm...yeah. That’s fine. Do my sisters and I need to bring anything?”
“Just your bodies.” We laughed at how that sounded.
“All right well I’ll see you tomorrow morning.”
“Okay bye.”
“Bye.” I hung up the phone and turned over in my bed to see JC. “Are you and my Dad working tomorrow?”
He turned from watching TV to me. “No why?”
“Just curious.” I smiled at JC and laid my head against my pillows.
“Are going somewhere tomorrow?” JC asked me curiously as he rested his head next to mine.
“Yeah Amber, Alex, and me are going hang out with some friends from school tomorrow.” I was being honest with my response. Mark Daly was just a friend and we were just going to hang out. “What are doing tomorrow?”
“Probably hang out with some friends tomorrow too. I want to take it easy this weekend. The next couple weekends I’m going to be busy.” JC glanced at my clock on my night stand. 10:00. “I better go. Your parents should be getting home soon.”
I glanced over my shoulder at my clock. “Yeah.”
Standing up, JC said, “I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“You better,” I said, sitting up and walking over to JC. He smiled at me, putting his hands on my hips, pulling me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him towards me and I kissed him. My bedroom door flew open, and JC and I broke from our kiss and looked to see my sisters standing in the doorway of my bedroom. “Get out!” I yelled.
“Adrienne,” Alex said panicky “Mom and Dad just pulled up and JC is still here! We’re in trouble!” She ran away screaming and my sisters and I rolled our eyes. Alex was always so dramatic.
Calmly April said, “Let’s all go downstairs to the family room and watch TV. Let’s fake it. We have done it before.”
“Girls, we’re home!” my Mom called for us from downstairs.
“Where are you girls?!” called my Dad.
We all looked at each other, wide eyed. “Scratch that,” said April. She turned to her younger sisters Amber, Annie and Allison. “Go stall Mom and Dad.” They nodded and rushed out of the room.
Ashley looked at me and JC. “JC, go to my room.” She looked between me and April. “We have to pull a Robby.”
JC gave me a weird look. “What’s a Robby?”
“Daddy, I don’t they’re UPSTAIRS!” Allison shouted from downstairs.
“Well have you checked? Is JC here? I saw his car in the driveway. Girls?!”
Hearing Allison and my Dad, I looked at JC. “You’ll figure it out,” I ushered JC out my room.
Ashley grabbed his hand. “Follow me,” she said and led him to her bedroom and closed the door behind them, and not a second too soon, because my Dad appeared at my door.
“Hi girls,” he said with a smile. “Did you girls order in?”
April nodded. “Yeah we order in some Chinese.”
“Good.” He glanced over his right shoulder. “Is JC here? He’s car is in the driveway.”
“Uh…” I looked at April.
My Dad looked between us and then turned his attention away when he heard laughter coming from April and Ashley’s bedroom. The door opened and JC walked out.
“I’ll call you tomorrow,” he told Allison. “Maybe we can do something.”
“Okay,” she said with a smile.
JC came down the hallway and gave my Dad a smile and wave as he passed him. With a confused expression, my Dad turned to Allison. “Does Mom know?”
“Not yet.”
“Make sure you tell her.”
She smiled. “I will.” He walked away.
Allison turned to me and smiled. “A piece of cake.”
